Venus De' Medici

It’s a marble replica from an original Greek sculpture. It was bought by Ferdinando de Medici during the Renaissance. She’s covering her breast and her groin. It’s called “Venus pudica” (the shy Venus), whose name is related to the fact that they are captured in the act of covering their bodies. Many replicas of the Venus are represented in this way.
