This splendid portrait, made by Daniele da Volterra, a sixteenth-century artist, depicts the great master of Italian art, Michelangelo Buonarroti. He shows it to us in his maturity, a period in which the teacher became more reflective and patient, after the intense years of his youth. With a strong and enterprising character, here we see him in all his humanity, which has always hidden behind his great genius.
