Venus is the goddess of love and a symbol of ideal beauty. This work clearly mentions the "Adrofite Callipigia", a marble sculpture from the Roman period dating back to the 1st-2nd century, and preserved in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. It is a copy of a bronze original from the Hellenistic period of the 3rd century BC. The goddess is filmed in the act of lifting her peplos to uncover her hips and buttocks and looking over her shoulder to observe them (the so-called anasyrma ritual).
