Sculpture dear to Calyxte because it represents one of her four beloved children intent on launching into a carefree ride on a beautiful, agile horse. Love for nature and animal species is the foundation of the education imparted to the children of the beautiful Campe family, accustomed to the lush green Tuscan countryside and who grew up free and happy in contact with the natural elements.
The child rides side-saddle, holding on to the mane of the great horse, with the serenity of a skilled horseman, in complete harmony with his friend. Their profiles stand out against the greenery of the park with great intensity and understanding of gazes straight to the horizon.
The Artist's great project is to "give" a ride on that magnificent horse to other little friends, creating their full-length galloping portrait.
