Flight of Seagulls is a maquette created by the sculptor for the monument for RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana in Florence in the 1970s.
The group of seagulls takes flight in a whirlwind of wings that makes the viewer feel transported, light, and floating. A sense of freedom is never lacking in Sauro Cavallini's works; his figures are free in space, free from the cages of detail, their smooth surfaces vibrate and move.
