The work, composed of three pink marble panels sculpted using the lithophane technique, uses light as a revelatory language: what is hidden in shadow is revealed only when pierced by light. It is a symbolic journey from the Old to the New Testament, from stone to revelation. At the base, Ghiberti's "Gates of Paradise" illuminates from within, revealing figures and stories invisible to the naked eye. In the central panel, Jacob's dream opens onto the face of Christ, hidden among the clouds. At the top, Jacob's struggle with the angel transforms him into Israel. An ascending journey of faith and transfiguration, where light makes the mystery of the divine visible, and shadow becomes a promise of salvation.
