Lost wax bronze casting.
Nice little crab cast from a mold of the crab present on the bronze base of the Wildboar by Pietro Tacca.
The base of the famous piglet of the Renaissance, elected as the symbol of the city of Florence, is composed of many different little animals: snails, serpents, frogs, turtoises, and crabs which all consitute the flora present on the banks of the river Arno.
