Medusa is a figure of the Greek mythology, together with Steno and Euriale, she is one of the three Gorgonis, daughters of the sea divinities Forco and Class. According to the myth the Gorgonis had the power to petrify whoever she had crossed their look and, of the three, Medusa was the only one not to be immortal; in the majority of the versions she is beheaded by Perseus.
