Lost wax cast bronze
This magnificent and realistic crocodile is work of the sculptor Stefano Patti.
The artist was born in 1958 in Palermo, where he matured his creativity from the first years of study at the Liceo Artistico, under the guidance of the sculptor Giovanni Rosone. He moved to Florence and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1981, joining as a teacher of sculpture in 1986. Since 1977 he has been studying the sculptor Antonio Berti, collaborating with him in the field of monumental sculpture. His works are in public and private collections, in Italy, Liechtenstein, Spain and U.S.A. It is also counted among the most famous medalists of our time and included in the publication of Mario Valeriani "Medals in Italy". His medals can be found in the collections of the Museum of Malta, Latina and the Accademia Carrara di Bergamo.
