The inspiration behind this splendid lamp is to be found in Chinese mythology. This, mirror of a millenary Chinese culture, over the centuries, has produced hundreds of legends concerning monsters, ghosts, demons and spirits. In this work the demonic figure is seated in the center, above feathered animals, which he seems to have dominated, and with a triumphal air rests a vase on his head.
