This sculpture is famous for being part of a pair of centaurs called Centaurs Furietti, also known as Old Centaur and Young Cenaturus when they are treated separately. The Old Centaur, unlike the smiling Young Centaur, kicking and energetic, seems to be resigned, with his gaze turned back, the bearded face and an expression of suffering in the face.
