The Lion Head panel was made by Lorenzo Ghiberti during the first half of the 1500 century for the embellishment of interior part of the North Door of the Baptistery of St. John of Florence. Ghiberti chose to represent ten lions in ten different poses. Here you can see a Pop Art touch to the panel, thanks to the vivid blue top coat added.
