The permanent exhibition of the beautiful Venus "Profile of a Dream," created in white Carrara marble by the sculptor Giovanni Balderi, was inaugurated on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the "Vittoriale Degli Italiani."

Introduced by Dr. Giordano Bruno Guerri, President and General Director of the "Il Vittoriale Degli Italiani" Foundation and a renowned historical essayist, the large marble statue was unveiled in the presence of a delighted and excited Giovanni Balderi, who, with this work, has joined the permanent collection of this magnificent venue, confirming his presence in the history of Italian contemporary art.

Giovanni Balderi is renowned and appreciated for the refinement of his hand, which manages to "soften" the hard Carrara marble, creating female figures who "wear" transparent draperies with a fluidity that defies the laws of indestructible matter.
