The Danish artist Bjorn Skaarup realized a series called “Carnival of the animals”, from the musical suite of the same name, written by the French composer Camille Saint-Saens, which transform animal attributes into music.
The artist creates a world of joy and delightful humor.
Here he represents an ostrich: although the animal is in fact a bird, he cannot fly. Therefore the artist transforms him partially into an airplane: it gets airplane wings and a pilot’s cap.
