Nina Winther (b. 1994) is a Danish painter who studied classical figurative painting for many years in Barcelona, Florence and Paris. She has also been an apprentice in the atelier of world famous artist Odd Nerdrum in Norway. Ninas work is influenced by different art historical styles and movements; especially the baroque and later styles like 19th century symbolism and realism. Nina Winthers works alternate between dealing with very contemporary subjects like the environmental crisis and sixth mass extinction and the more escapist themes of myths and dreams.
