Jan Paul Wolff is a German born Austrian painter and multimedia artist trained in the visual arts from the age of 14.

He is studying traditional oil painting methods of the old masters and tries to get as close as possible to their techniques and understanding of materials and design.

Jan Paul is concerned with atmosphere and mood - an essential quality to art and painting that is represented not only in his large scale multi figurative art but also his commissioned portraits.

He believes by trying to connect to the chain of realist tradition one will be able to reach a wide audience - the viewer will always be able to have an immediate reaction to realism - a known built in psychologically charged visual realm.
