Mahmoud Barati

Mahmoud Barati was born in Mashhad, Iran, in 1988.

In 2009 to learn academic drawing he attended the "Manouchehr Espahbodi" private drawing school.

In 2012 he was awarded the first public commission by the municipality of Mashad for the creation of a 3.5 meter tall sculpture, a sculpture composed of two figures made of fiberglass with metal armor entitled "MOTHER AND SON" and for a few years installed in the square Ahmad Abad.

Until 2018, he works as a draftsman and sculptor for public works in Iran. In the same year he moved to Italy, to Florence, where he began attending the Academy of Fine Arts, the sculpture course.
